I have been in the corporate world for over 15 years and know enough about fashion and make-up to look professional. However, for the past several years I have been a stay-at-home mom running around to get my daughters to school, dance, and other activities. My main focus is on my family, and I feel lucky if I am able to get a shower in before I pick my daughters up from school in the afternoon. My attire is usually either jeans and a top or sweats, which I refer to as my mommy uniform. I really have forgotten to think about me so I thought a Colour Class would be a good opportunity to spend some time for myself.

My friend and I arrived at Stefanie Lee’s studio wondering what we would be experiencing for the day. We had so much fun while learning more about ourselves. Throughout the day we literally saw how some colors could either make us look tired and washed out while other colors made us look even-toned and glowing. I’m not a big make-up person so it was great seeing how a nice shade of lipstick and my specific colors could make me look rosy and warm without more make-up.

Every other year we have a professional family photo taken. I’ve always struggle to find outfits that look the best on everyone. This year I’m excited about having the knowledge to find outfits that will make every family member look their best. The Colour Class was a wonderful eye opener for me! I now have the tools and knowledge to help me find the colors and clothes that will look the best on me. Now, it’s up to me to put those tools and knowledge into practice.

My friend and I are calling each other when we are out shopping saying, “Hey, Ann Taylor Loft has your perfect color in a sweater, top, or shirt.” Plus, instead of spending hours trying to decide on what looks good on me, it has cut my time in half. The color wallet is really helpful in focusing on colors that look the best on me.
